LemonAid Warriors Teams Up with Hanson for Kenya Dam Project

A few months ago we wrote about cause leader Lulu Cerone and her troop of young philanthropists known as Lemond:AID Warriors. She’s an ardent supporter of Causes.com and one of our youngest users. Since 2008, Lulu’s efforts have garnered more than $20,000 in donations for freshwater wells in Sub-Saharan Africa. Now, a new partnership with Blood:Water Mission — an organization dedicated to helping with the HIV/AIDS and water crisis in Africa — has inspired Lulu to raise funds for a dam that would provide fresh, uncontaminated water for people living in rural Kenya.

Tomorrow, Lulu is hosting a backyard concert fundraiser at her home in Los Angeles and she’s been using our video tool to spread the word about one of her musical guests: 1990′s pop icons Hanson. Lulu told us in an interview that she’s excited about the band’s commitment to social good: “It’s good for [LemonAid Warriors supporters] to see how people like Hanson are using their talent to create change. That’s one main message of LemonAID Warriors and Blood:Water Mission: Take what you know and turn it into good! I’m sure [Hanson] will inspire my friends to use their talents in a powerful way.”


Hanson will play a concert to raise money for a dam project in rural Kenya.

Lulu’s partnership with Blood:Water Mission has been strengthened on Causes through online collaborations and content sharing. In an email, Lulu detailed how she’s used her previous online experience to help her with this campaign. “I was in charge of [the online portion] of this campaign…[and] it was something that I could totally do on my own. That’s what is so cool with Causes.com. You guys totally helped me a lot. [Community Manager] Melissa encouraged me to use a lot more tools, like the quiz and the updates [tools]. I filmed and edited my videos all on my own, too.”

Lulu hopes the Hanson concert in Los Angeles will educate people about freshwater droughts in Sub-Saharan Kenya and inspire them to donate to the dam project. As for details about tomorrow’s Los Angeles event, Lulu says, “The whole thing is a secret!     report vehemently condemning diarchy which was discussed at round

    Table conference led to the government of India Act !935. Sir

    Stafford Cripps made negations with the acceptance that the elected

    body of Indians should frame the Indian constitution and for the

    purpose cabinet mission was send to assist the viceroy in setting

    up the constitution and to mediate between the congress and Muslim

    league.
