Weekly Report Provide Helpful Campaign Data

Posted Sep 06, 2012 by

Do you want to know how many people joined your cause this week? Ever wonder how many people viewed your new petition page? The new Causes.com weekly report provides all of these data points directly to your inbox, every week, to help you understand engagement and participation on your Causes’ page.

The Nuts and Bolts

Causes Product Manager Rohan Dang said, “The weekly reports email is one of many steps we’re taking towards empowering our organizers with key information about their causes and actions. We believe that by having such visibility into their causes, organizers will be able to make well informed decisions about what’s working with their causes and what’s not.”

Why do you want this?

  • Knowing when your cause page is thriving is important!
  • It’s great to know real people are viewing, participating, and sharing your content.
  • Your data will help you shape your campaign plans to ensure success.

Understanding a cause page’s data is something we thoroughly enjoy. For example, last month we looked at the number of people who signed a petition and found that more than 2 million signatures were penned to petitions across the Causes site, throughout all petitions created. Studying this data helps us understand how people around the world are using Causes’ tools and how we can make those tools better.

Your weekly report will rouse similar questions for you and ultimately lead to better results and offline success. And it’s important to note that the data you’ll be seeing every week translates to more than numbers: these are real people investing time in your campaigns.

If you’re the leader of a cause, make sure you have a functional email address associated with your account. After that, just leave the rest of the data collection and sorting to us and get ready to gain more insight into the power of your campaign.

We are petitioning for signatures, due to the critical situation of the
only feline refuge in Tenerife, so that the local as well as the automic
authorities give them the promised funds, which have never arrived,
forcing the owners, a retired couple, to have to mortgage there home.
COULD YOU SEND THE NEWS AND THE PETITION TO YOUR FRIENDS AND CONTACTS ON
FACEBOOK? YOU WOULD DO US A BIG FAVOUR.

PLEASE SING AND CIRCULATE THIS URGENT NEWS :

We have started a signature petition to request the local authorities
of Puerto de la Cruz to fulfill their obligation of helping the feline
shelter, in the same way they do with other dog shelters. This is the
link where you can sign the petition, PLEASE sign it and send it to your

I’ve had some comments from people who say that electronic signatures are pretty much a waste of time. What would be useful is a regularly updated page of “outcomes” from various petitions. Meanwhile can you give me specifics proving the effectiveness of signing petitions?
    Thanks
    Ray
