Help Jamie Oliver train 1,000 new Food Revolutionaries
Jamie’s birthday is May 27th and we want to help him train 1,000 new food revolutionaries so they can teach culinary arts to kids in Los Angeles.
Maybe you’ve heard of Jamie Oliver – he’s the chef behind the Emmy Award-winning show Food Revolution on ABC, The Naked Chef (BBC), Jamie’s School Dinners and so many more. He’s arguably one of the most recognizable names and faces in the kitchen whose passion for healthy, sustainable food has resulted in mass change to the way school-aged children are fed in the UK. Now he wants to help the children in LA gain access to healthy lunches and learn skills that will help them grow in to healthy and educated adults.
In the last few weeks, 20 culinary arts teachers have lost their jobs due to school budget cuts. Kids across the city no longer have access to cooking classes that gave them training to get a job or the basic skills critical to feed themselves and their families properly in adult life.
I need your help to Spark a Food Revolution – Train 1,000 Food Revolutionaries. It’s a great cause that I truly believe can make a difference, and can help fight the battle against obesity and diet-related diseases, the biggest killer in America today. I chose Spark a Food Revolution – Train 1,000 Food Revolutionaries because together we can get cooking teachers back in the community, and get children and adults cooking again. — Jamie O xxx
Your gift will help to fund the creation of an inspiring training program that will teach LA locals to run cooking classes in schools and community centers.

America Gives Back is the charitable organization sponsoring Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution. The Revolution’s mission, and the mission of the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation, is to empower people everywhere to fight obesity by creating a strong, sustainable movement to educate every child about food and inspire families to cook again.
